“Yes, BJP is trying to destroy the Indian democracy that Congress had saved by evoking emergency.

Yes, BJP is trying to destroy the Indian democracy that Congress party strengthened by toppling various state governments using article 356.”

—sarcasm

Nowadays it has become a fashion to say that democracy is in danger, Freedom is in danger, country is going towards autocracy etc.

-For left liberals & so called intellectuals, It has become easy medium to be in limelight.

-For opposition parties, It has become a perennial election issue.

-For so called Democratic countrie (like USA & other western countries) it has become an easy way to divert the attention from their own weakness & failures.

-For various International organization & NGOs, it has become a tool to pressurize countries like India.

-For International media, it has become a good business idea.

Now Let's come back to the question - Is BJP trying to destroy Indian democracy?

Let me ask a question first -

What is the meaning of democracy?

Ans- A system in which the government of a country is elected by the people.

So what is happening in India now?

.

-Is elections are not being Conduted?

-Are people not allowed to vote?

-Are political parties not allowed to contest?

-Is there any flaw in election process?

-Have any party boycott a single election?

-Has Modi government imposed president rule in any state to remove the elected government?

No,

So?

What's the problem?

If elections are fairly conducted time to time, every political party is participating in the election, everyone is accepting the election results( although some political parties allege EVM but couldn't give any proof yet), different parties are winning elections in various states, So where the problem?

I'm telling the actual problem -

The main problem of opposition parties & left liberal ecosystem is that why BJP is continuously winning the election. For them, no party should come into power again. For them, If Congress had won the 2019 election then democracy would've alive today but because BJP won the election again so democracy is in danger.

Nowadays they're crying so much because they know that BJP is going to return in power again in 2024. There is almost zero possibility for Congress's victory in 2024, that's why they've already started to defy 2024 election verdict.

Ask few questions to yourself -

If Mamata Banerjee wins for third time then democracy is not in danger

If AAP clean sweeps Punjab Assembly elections then democracy is alive

If Congress wins Himachal Pradesh election, then EVM is OK

If Congress is winning various bypoll elections then Election Commission is independent.

But

If BJP wins election in Gujarat, Tripura & Nagaland then democracy is in danger, Election Commission is biased, EVM has been hacked.

and my last question - “If democracy is danger, Election commission is biased, EVM is compromised, election process is not fair so why opposition parties are not bycotting all the elections? “

So in nutshell, India is the largest democracy in the world and BJP or any other party can't destroy it. It is the people who have ultimate authority. Without the support of people no party will come into power. So instead of crying for democracy, opposition parties should know the ground reality & should understand the sentiments of common people. That's the only way to win the election(not by Twitter, Facebook & YouTube)
